The six things we score

This is the GoNano Roof Health Score, a 0 to 100 rating. Four of the six can be judged from the ground. Two cannot, and any tool that claims otherwise is guessing.

Age

The single heaviest input. Asphalt in North Dakota ages faster than the national average because of freeze-thaw cycling. Do not know when your roof was done? The hail calendar usually answers it.

Granule Condition

Granules are the UV and weather shield. Once they are in your gutters, the mat underneath is exposed.

Flexibility on-roof only

We fold a shingle corner by hand. A healthy shingle bends 90 degrees and rebounds. A dying one creases or snaps. No website can do this.

Surface Integrity on-roof only

How much does roof coating cost in Bismarck?

The Roof Health Score is a 0 to 100 rating of an asphalt shingle roof developed by GoNano Technologies. It scores six factors: Age, Granule Condition, Flexibility, Surface Integrity, Curling and Edge Lift, and Bio Growth and Moisture. Flexibility and Surface Integrity require physically handling a shingle, so a genuine score cannot be produced from a website. Your score sets which treatment you qualify for and how long the warranty runs.

Does a roof coating void my shingle warranty?

No. GoNano NuRoof has been applied to over 50,000 homes in North America and does not void a manufacturer shingle warranty.

How long does the treatment last?

Warranty length is set by your Roof Health Score at inspection. A roof scoring 90 to 100 can carry a 20 year non-prorated warranty plus 5 years of hail coverage. A roof in the 75 to 89 range carries 15 years. Lower scores carry shorter terms. Nobody can quote you a warranty length before the roof is scored.

Will this work on a roof that already has hail damage?

It depends on the damage. Bruising that has fractured the mat under the granules is different from surface granule loss. That is exactly what the free inspection determines. Burleigh and Morton counties have had 128 days of one-inch-or-larger hail since 2000, so this comes up constantly.
